White-Throated Sparrow is written for 2 tar drums and bamboo flute and performing by Glen Velez, Randy Crafton and Steve Gorn. The piece uses the same cueing concept as on Doctrine except in the case the flute is doing the cueing. Walking is also used in the way to unify the pulsations and provide an additional rhythmic relationship. The principle melodic material is inspired by the Spring song of the whitethroated sparrow.
